If you are hospitalised and need your transport back home or your transfer to another medical facility to be organised (medical repatriation or not), you can get in touch with the repatriation team to help you with the procedure. If you have subscribed to a repatriation insurance (travel insurance, credit card insurance or else), the hospital fees as well as the costs of transportation can be covered by said insurance. For patients which do not have a "mutuelle" or are insured in a foreign country, your insurance can also send a guarantee of payment to cover part or the entirety of the hospital fees.
We can help you organise your return home or your transfert by setting up the most appropriate transport for your pathology based on the recommandations of the Doctor in charge of your care. The surgeon will make a medical prescription for transportation to send to the Sécurité Sociale, which will cover part or the entirety of the costs of transport.
The first step is to to contact your insurance and open a repatriation case linked to your hospitalisation. You can then give the case number to the repatriation team which will become the "intermediary" between the hospital and you insurance. The repatriation, in conjuction with your insurance, will set up the most appropriate repatriation according to the surgeon's recommandations.
