A&E, ED observation & emergency response unit

In case of a life-threatening emergency :
The Centre 15 is available 24/7, dial    15

The accident and emergency center receives and cares 24/7 for all types of patients: adults, children or babies. They can assess all pathologies: medical, surgical, trauma or psychiatric. The unit has several activities: the treatment of emergencies, the SMUR (Mobile Emergency Response Unit) and the UHCD (Emergency Department Observation Unit).

This unit is composed of three different organisations in order to offer the best treatment for patients:

You will be admitted by a triage nurse in charge of collecting the first medical elements of your case, verifying your vital signs (pulse, heart rate...) and, if needed, providing first aid.

The order in which you and other patients will be seen in the A&E is determined by the degree of urgency. A delay for certain care can then occur.

We do everything possible to reduce waiting times. However, the waiting time depends on the gravity of the case, the time of specialised treatment, the complementary exams and the delay to get certain results.

The medical team will organise your discharge according to your medical state : return home, hospitalisation on-site or transfer to another facility. If a medical monitoring is necesserary for a short-term period, the team from the ED Observation Unit will then be in charge of your treatment inside our hospital. This unit is part of the A&E ward, therefore an emergency physician will conduct the surveillance of your medical condition.
