general medicine and geriatrics unit

The General Medicine & Geriatrics Unit cares for patients with various pathologies.
The most frequent conditions we treat in this unit are: cardiac, respiratory or neurological pathologies, clotting disorders, endocrinological and biological disorders, infectious diseases and oncology.

We work in close collaboration with the consultations unit for specialist advice regarding our patients, especially in cardiology, but also for endoscopy, fibroscopy and gastroscopy.

If a condition needs further medical care, we also collaborate with other facilities in the GHT Savoie-Belley such as the Chambery Hospital (Centre Hospitalier Métropole de Savoie) and the Albertville Hospital (Centre Hospitalier Albertville Moutiers).

We are also able to provide treatments that need hospital supervision such as: punctures, blood transfusions, intravenous perfusions, and so on.

Our team is trained for palliative care, for which we work closely with the mobile palliative care team from Albertville Hospital.

collaborating with in-town health professionals

We work closely with the Maisons de Santé (medical centre) in Bourg Saint Maurice and in Aime, as well as with independent healthcare professionals of the Tarentaise Valley, in order to offer the best level of care for the local and regional patient base. Currently, we are working on a project with the CPTS de Haute Tarentaise (association of health professionals) to strenghten and better the link betwen in-town and in-hospital care.

As mentionned previously, we also collaborate closely with the medical facilities and medical teams of the GHT Savoie Belley to ensure an optimal medical care of our patients.

Besides our in-house teams, we are also invested in the training of our future healthcare professionals (nurses, caregivers, and so on) and collaborate with the following schools: IFSI Chambéry and IFAS Chambéry and Moutiers.
